The City of Maryland Heights Planning Commission is the city's official planning body established under State statute (RSMO. 89) and is responsible for regulatory planning activities within the city. The Planning Commission:
Recommends zoning ordinances to the City Council on a variety of land use issues including zoning map changes, revisions in the zoning ordinance and subdivision approvals.
Manages the City’s Comprehensive Plan.
The Commission meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month in the City Council Chambers at the Maryland Heights Government Center, 11911 Dorsett Road, Maryland Heights, MO 63043. The Planning Commission agenda is posted on the website the Friday before the meeting. The Commission is composed of seven members appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council.
The public is welcome to comment on any public hearing item on the Planning Commission agenda following presentations by the Staff and the applicant. Comments concerning other projects or items not on the agenda should be made during the Public Comment section of the agenda.
All speakers must fill out a speaker’s card prior to the start of the meeting and present it to Staff. Speakers will be called by name at the appropriate portion of the meeting.
When addressing the Planning Commission, please step to the podium and state your name and address into the microphone. Unless otherwise directed by the Chairperson, individuals may speak for three minutes, while those representing a group may speak for five minutes.
