The City’s outdoor water park, Aquaport opened in 1998 and has since become a regional attraction boasting multiple water slides, a lazy river, kids’ area and more. Upgrades including a renovated façade and a new water feature are slated to be unveiled summer 2020. Aquaport is scheduled to open for the season Saturday, May 23. Hours will be amended May 26-29 based on Pattonville and Parkway school schedules. Aquaport will be open 11 a.m.-7 p.m. daily starting Saturday, May 30.
The Centene Community Ice Center opened September 2019 and plans to serve thousands of St. Louis youth and adults annually. The 277,000 square foot facility at 750 Casino Center Drive features four, NHL sized ice rinks, a strength and conditioning center and skill development areas. The Ice Center includes spaces for public skating, training and special events for athletes of all abilities. The facility is the official practice home of the NHL's St. Louis Blues.
In addition to the hockey development facilities, an event center with 2,500 seats will support local university and other ice sport programs. A covered outdoor rink will offer an inviting atmosphere for the general public to skate in the winter months and enjoy community events such as concerts, festivals and markets in the warmer months.
In the Spring of 2017, the state of the art Maryland Heights Community Center officially opened to the public. Home to the Department of Parks & Recreation, the 92,000 square foot facility boasts a Fitness Center, Gymnasium, Indoor Aquatic Center, Play Center, Senior Lounge and rooms available to rent for parties, meetings and more.
