To register for any program or event, you may visit us at the Community Center's Welcome Desk during business hours. Once your information is in your system, you may utilize our online registration at any time. Please call us at (314) 738-2599 if you have any questions.

Summer Concert Series

Fridays (Specified Below)

Vago Park (MH Pavilions at the back of the park) or Parkwood Park

All Ages

Join us for the following Fridays for a FREE concert at Vago Park - Maryland Heights Pavilion or Parkwood Park! Food trucks will be present from 6 - 9 p.m. Bands will play from 7 - 9 p.m. Pack up those chairs and picnic blankets and come listen to some great local music!

No pre-registration.

August 17 - Parkwood Park -Surrender Dorothy

Surrender Dorothy has been playing around the St. Louis area since 1995. This group started playing over twenty years ago to entertain their friends, make some extra money and have fun. The fun just keeps on going when you hear them play Guitar Rock covers!

September 21 - Vago Park -RetroNerds

The RetroNerds are an 80's tribute band from St. Louis. They perform the best hits of the 80s in perfect sync with the original video from MTV on multiple displays. Come watch these four nerds put on a show!

This event will precede our Luau Party at Aquaport (see below).

All Ages

Gather your family for a night of swimming, games and fun! We are keeping Aquaport open after closing time for this family-friendly party! Enjoy Aquaport without the hot sun and crowds. If you are feeling hungry before the party, check out the MH Truck Stop event on page 22! Registration opened on June 1.  

Register by August 1st.  

Pricing:  Ages 2-15/$3 and Ages 16+/$5

 

Wine & Wags (Dogport Members Only)

Dogport Members, come out and socialize with other area dog owners! We’ll provide the cold beer, wine and soft drinks, special craft and lots of photo opportunities for you and your fur-baby!

No registration is required.

Bike Rodeo

August 18

What is a Bike Rodeo? It’s a structured bicycle skills and safety course with a series of obstacles to simulate bicycle riding in the real world. Got skills? Come show them off! Just took off those training wheels? These drills will help you learn the skills needed. MHPD Officers will be on hand to teach bicycle safety and rules of the road. 

For those beginners just starting out, we will have a limited number of helmets available for purchase. Officers and staff will assist in getting the proper size and fit.

No registration is required.

Be a Star on Stage Auditions

August 21 or August 23

Ages 8+

Calling all singers and dancers! Come audition for our production, There’s a Monster in My Closet by Angela D. Stewart. Several friends have a sleepover in an attempt to catch the monster that lives in the closet. With many characters, both human and monster - this show will be a great time! Title is subject to change. Auditions are free for all. If casted, production fees apply.

Snores n' Smores

Create Come and enjoy a great night of camping under the stars inside Vago Park. Each camper will get an evening of entertainment, arts and crafts, games, a hot dog dinner and a continental breakfast in the morning. Each family will need to have a tent and their own camping equipment.

Adopt-a-Pet Day

Are you looking to add a new family member to your family? There are lots of rescue animals out there looking for their forever home! Stop on by the Community Center and meet with local animal rescue groups.

Night Out with Picasso's Palette

August 29
6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Ages 18+

Enjoy painting a beautiful canvas with easy step-by-step instructions. You will learn how to blend paints and create highlights and shadows. You can bring your own snacks and drinks to add to the fun!

Register by August 22nd.

Grandparents' Day Brunch

All Ages

Let’s celebrate the special Grandparents (*and other important elders) in our lives. Enjoy a delicious meal and a magical show. Kids of all ages and their grandparents are invited to celebrate this important day. Tickets will be available for purchase beginning Aug. 1.
