This ever-growing group comes together every Wednesday to play
canasta. Enjoy great company, laugh a little, talk a little and play

Game Time is for socializing. Come play pinochle, bridge or any
board game your heart desires. Get out those dominoes! Come by

Are you interested in sharing information and plants with other gardeners?
Do you want to review some of the basic skills in gardening
as well as learn new skills? Speakers and field trips included in the
club’s activities.

Are you looking to meet new people and enjoy a great meal? Then
come to the Maryland Heights Social Club. We meet once each
month and there are no annual dues - you pay only for lunch. The
Senior Services Coordinator brings in a local speaker or entertainment
for the members’ enjoyment. Reservations must be made at
least a week in advance of the luncheon so the caterer will know how
many folks to cook for. Call Senior Services Coordinator, for more
information, 738-2552. 1st Monday 10:30 - 11:30 a.m.
3rd Monday, 10:30 am - 1:00 pm ($7.50 per person for lunch)

Pinochle Group

Players come together every week to play pinochle and to enjoy good
company. New players welcome.

The VanGo
Ongoing Age 62 + or have a disability

VanGo is a transportation service for Maryland Heights senior
residents or residents with a disability who receive Social Security
disability benefits and do not have any other means of transportation.
The bus may be reserved for any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or
Thursday for essential errands. We go to certain destinations on specific
days. Ride the VanGo to your medical appointment, the bank,
shopping or for a beauty salon appointment. Medical appointments
will always have priority and there is no limit to the number of times one
rides the bus. Questions about our service area or comments may be
directed to the Senior Services Coordinator. 
Fees are pro-rated throughout the year below:   

 $30  Sign up January - April (service expires Dec. 31)
 $20     Sign up May - August (service expires Dec. 31
 $10  Sign up September - December (service expires Dec. 31)

Community Leaders Assisting the Insured of Missouri (CLAIM)

In partnership with CLAIM (Missouri’s State Health Insurance Assistance Program), the Social Services Coordinator, a trained CLAIM counselor, can assist in providing a variety of information and resources related to Medicare, including eligibility, searching for Medicare supplemental health insurance programs and Medicare part D plans. Getting the right information can help you make better decisions about your health care. By appointment only. Free. Call the Social Services Coordinator, Megan Herman, at 314-738-2552.

Senior Legal Services
Ongoing Ages 60 +
Maryland Heights Centre

Maryland Heights Department of Human Services, in cooperation
with St. Louis County Human Services - County Older Residents
Program, offers a legal services program for senior
citizens of St. Louis County. Eligible seniors must be at least
age 60 with a gross annual income under $34,000, single or married. The volunteer
attorney is at Maryland Heights Centre on designated Fridays
and will help with wills, deeds, non-litigation services, powers of
attorney or consumer advice for a nominal fee to cover expenses.
Meetings with the attorney are by appointment only. Call the Senior
Services Coordinator to schedule an appointment, 738-2552.
