Free Home Improvement Expo Set for March 9

The city will hold its first Home Improvement Expo on Saturday, March 9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Municipal Courtroom at the Government Center, 11911 Dorsett Road. The free event will provide residents with an opportunity to interact with local businesses in the home improvement industry. City staff will be available to answer questions, and several area businesses will be showcasing as exhibitors. Participating businesses include:

In addition to the exhibits, Brandt & Sons Ace Hardware will offer 30-minute workshops throughout the day on a variety of home improvement topics:

9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.: Best Practices for Interior and Exterior Painting
10:00 a.m. and noon: Lawn Preparation and Maintenance
10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.:
Screen Repair

The city has also partnered with Spectrum Ecycle Solutions to offer free electronics recycling at the event. Accepted items include computer equipment, personal and home electronics and media items. To drop off electronics for recycling, please use the Government Center parking lot entrance off of Millwell Drive.
