One of the goals of the Maryland Heights Municipal Court is to help you resolve your tickets and charges. To make this process more convenient and less burdensome for those we service, the City's municipal judge, Kevin R. Kelly, has established a violations bureau to which designated moving, non-moving and ordinance offenses may be paid without a court appearance.
Pursuant to the Ordinances of the City of Maryland Heights, and the Statutes of the State of Missouri, court costs shall be collected on all violations paid in the Violations Bureau.
Violation Fine Guidelines
Any defendant who is 16 or 17 years of age with a moving traffic violation must appear in court with a parent or guardian.
Any defendant who is under 21 years of age at the time of an offense involving illegal possession of alcohol, drugs or drug paraphernalia must appear in court with a parent or guardian.
Speeding in excess of 20 miles per hour over the speed limit requires a court appearance.
In no event shall any traffic offense involving property damage or personal injury be payable to the Violations Bureau, and a court appearance is mandatory.
To pay fine and costs after hours, please put the amount of fine and costs in an envelope and deposit in the mail slot under the window marked Violations Bureau. Receipts will not be mailed.
