Prior to the pandemic, the City was set to host a blood drive with special focus on the MHPD in recognition of National Police Week, May 10 - 16. Due to COVID-19 concerns, a Stay-Home Order that has been extended  into May and the unknown date for reopening the Community Center, the City postponed the event until October.

The nation is currently in urgent need of blood donations. Although the City's drive has been postponed, we are still working with Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center (MVRBC) to encourage blood donation in the community. You can make blood donation appointments directly through MVRBC at one of their donation centers to limit your interaction people. For more information, please contact MVRBC by calling (800) 747-5401 (ext. 1281), texting 999-777 or emailing kldickinso@mvrbc.org.
