Spring Volunteer Service Day

Saturday, April 25, 2020 • 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m.

Volunteer Information:

Make a difference in our community by participating in Volunteer Service Day where you will assist elderly and disabled residents with yard work. Tasks primarily include raking/bagging leaves and may include some weeding or minor shrub trimming. Leaf bags will be provided. Volunteers must be 8 years of age or older and are encouraged to bring a rake and work gloves.

This is a great volunteer opportunity for Boy and Girl Scout troops, civic organizations, church groups and students looking to fulfill volunteer hours.

Volunteers should arrive at the Community Center no later than 8:30 a.m. to sign in. If you have registered as a family or group, only one person from the group needs to sign in. A thank you breakfast will be provided during registration. All volunteers will receive a t-shirt and assignments during check-in.

Maryland Heights seeks volunteers throughout the year to perform yard work and basic home exterior maintenance services for our elderly and disabled residents. If you would like to volunteer or are a senior/disabled resident needing help, please contact Nancy Whitener at  nwhitener@marylandheights.com or (314) 738-2599. The need for this program peaks during the summer months and times of snowfall/accumulation. The City welcomes all volunteers at all times.
