Things to Do

Maryland Heights offers many ways to spend your leisure time. The city is fast becoming a premier hospitality destination, welcoming over 9 million visitors a year to our 22 hotels, 50 restaurants, and exciting entertainment venues. The city maintains four parks, an aquatic center, a community center and a world-class soccer facility. Other great facilities include a large county park and lake, an outdoor amphitheater that hosts a variety of concerts, a casino complex and dozens of fine restaurants. Aquaport

Aquaport Family Aquatic Center is an outdoor water recreation facility for all ages. The facility is located adjacent to the Maryland Heights Community Center at 2344 McKelvey Road and is open ten weeks each summer (Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend). For more information, click here

Sportport

Sportport is a 95-acre multi-purpose athletic facility, located just 15 minutes from St. Louis Lambert International Airport, minutes from Interstates 70 and 270 and convenient to Maryland Heights’ approximately 3,600 hotel rooms. Sportport offers fields for a wide variety of uses: soccer, football, lacrosse, rugby, field hockey, shows, recreational leagues, competitive leagues, tournaments, and practices at all age levels. Centene Community Ice Center

The Centene Community Ice Center opened September 2019 and plans to serve thousands of St. Louis youth and adults annually. The 277,000 square foot facility at 750 Casino Center Drive features four, NHL sized ice rinks, a strength and conditioning center and skill development areas. The Ice Center includes spaces for public skating, training and special events for athletes of all abilities. The facility is the official practice home of the NHL's St. Louis Blues. 

In addition to the hockey development facilities, an event center with 2,500 seats will support local university and other ice sport programs. A covered outdoor rink will offer an inviting atmosphere for the general public to skate in the winter months and enjoy community events such as concerts, festivals and markets in the warmer months.

Parks and Recreation

The Parks and Recreation Department proudly maintains the city’s Community Center and five public parks. The department offers an extensive list of programming for all ages and abilities including health and fitness programs, cultural arts, child and seniors activities, and more. Hollywood Casino

In addition to gaming, Hollywood Casino offers several dining and nightlife options, hotel and meeting space, and special event venues. Hollywood Casino Amphitheater

Westport Plaza

Westport Plaza is among the most well-known destinations in the St. Louis region. In addition to its extensive office spaces, the plaza is home to two Sheraton hotels and several unique restaurants. Creve Coeur Park

Though located within the boundaries of the City of Maryland Heights, Creve Coeur Park is county-maintained. The park is home to a beautiful 320-acre lake and offers picnic shelters, playgrounds, 6 miles of bike and jogging paths adjoining connecting to the Katy Trail, hiking, volleyball, athletic fields, modern restrooms and more. Historic Aircraft Restoration Museum

Creve Coeur Airport, located in Maryland Heights, is known around the world as a haven for antique planes and is home of the Historic Aircraft Restoration Museum, which has over fifty antique and vintage planes on display.
