MHPD Joins Forces to Support Colleagues Battling Breast Cancer

During the month of October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Maryland Heights Police Department partnered with Creve Coeur Police and the Eastern Missouri Police Academy to sell pink line uniform bars, a pin that officers could wear to display their support for breast cancer awareness.

The funds received from the pink line pins were matched by the Maryland Heights Police Officers Association and checks for $1,000 each were delivered to two police officers in nearby agencies that are currently battling stage 3 breast cancer. These collaborative efforts show us the power of support between agencies. Not only did this act raise awareness, but it showed that unity and compassion can make a difference.
