Residential Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Permits

WHAT TO SUBMIT:
To obtain a residential mechanical, electrical, or plumbing permit, please print and complete the mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing form available here.  If the work is being done in conjunction with a building permit, please submit the building permit application as well.  Submit the application form(s), 3 copies of the plans (if required - see links above), and the minimum permit fee of $50 for each application.


HOW TO SUBMIT IT:

You have three options:

  1. If no plans are required, you can scan or photograph the completed application forms and e-mail them to mep@marylandheights.com.  Staff will contact you for payment options.  This option is only available if no plans are required.
  2. Apply at the front desk of the Government Center at 11911 Dorsett Road, Maryland Heights, MO 63043.  Business hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
  3. Mail the items to:  Permits Coordinator, City of Maryland Heights, 11911 Dorsett Road, Maryland Heights, MO 63043.


NEXT STEPS:

Once the plans have been approved, you will be notified regarding any remaining fees due and be given instructions how to pick up the approved permit and plans.

The City has adopted the 2015 editions of the International Residential Building Code, International Existing Building Code, and International Energy Conservation Code.  This includes the 2014 National Electrical Code.
