Continuances
Motions for continuance must be filed at least five days prior to scheduled court date in order to guarantee they will be seen by the judge.
Motions not accompanied by original entry that are filed less than 24 business hours prior to a court date will be returned to filer.
Be specific with filing code on motion.
The acceptance of a motion is not the granting of a motion.
If you want to appear for a case not on the docket notice it up at least 24 hours before the docket.

One of the goals of the Maryland Heights Municipal Court is to help you resolve your tickets and charges. To make this process more convenient and less burdensome for those we service, the City's municipal judge, Kevin R. Kelly, has established a violations bureau to which designated moving, non-moving and ordinance offenses may be paid without a court appearance.
Pursuant to the Ordinances of the City of Maryland Heights, and the Statutes of the State of Missouri, specifically Section 479.050, Revised, and Rule 37.49 of the Supreme Court Rules of the State of Missouri, the undersigned Municipal Judge of the City of Maryland Heights, hereby orders that the following designated offenses shall be payable to the City of Maryland Heights Violation Bureau. No court appearance is necessary unless specifically excepted as hereafter set forth:
Violation Fine Guidelines
- Any defendant who is 16 or 17 years of age with a moving traffic violation must appear in court with a parent or guardian.
- Any defendant who is under 21 years of age at the time of an offense involving illegal possession of alcohol, drugs or drug paraphernalia must appear in court with a parent or guardian.
- Speeding in excess of 25 miles per hour over the speed limit requires a court appearance.
- In no event shall any traffic offense involving property damage or personal injury be payable to the Violations Bureau, and a court appearance is mandatory.
- To pay fine and costs after hours, please put the amount of fine and costs in an envelope and deposit in the mail slot to the left of the window marked Violations Bureau. Receipts will not be mailed.

All transactions of the Violations Bureau shall be considered transactions of the Court and regular court records shall be kept. Gerald Durfee is hereby designated as Clerk of the Court pursuant to the Missouri Supreme Court Rule 37.49 (b) and Violeta Vasileva and Keuyna Abe' are hereby designated his assistants.

Court CostsCourt Costs of $31.50 pursuant to the Statutes of the State of Missouri and the Ordinances of the City of Maryland Heights shall be collected on all violations paid in the Violations Bureau, except no costs shall be assessed on summonses issued for Failure to Use a Seat Belt.
ExceptionsAny officer enforcing the Ordinances of the City of Maryland Heights, may, in his or her own discretion, require a court appearance if he or she believes the circumstances warrant it. In no event shall any traffic offenses involving property damage or personal injury, or offenses not above mentioned, be payable to the Violations Bureau. If two or more moving violation citations are issued to the same defendant, a court appearance is compulsory for each of the offenses, excluding Failure to Use a Seat Belt violation.

If your ticket was issued prior to 01/23/2021 please click [PENDING CASES NOT ON CASENET] to view a PDF file of outstanding/pending cases. Within the PDF document, you can use the keyboard command Ctrl + F to search by last name. If the court date listed is 12/31 the case is not docketed at this time. A hold order on your license has been sent to the Missouri Department of Revenue.
