Description : The Customer Relations Specialist answers and transfers all incoming phone calls to the City Government Center, assists walk-in customers, schedules inspections, and issues residential 
occupancy permits.

The starting annual salary for this position is $44,948.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Answers all incoming calls and assists persons entering the building; accepts 
applications for building permits, requests for inspections and payments for such; 
schedules inspections. Enters data into database regarding building permits, 
inspections and related applications. Reconciles cash drawer; researches property 
ownership; and prints aerial views of property; acts as liaison between apartment 
complexes and City Building division regarding monthly escrow and invoicing. 
Maintains effective communications with City departments. Provides notary services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required; 4-5 years of related experience; experience 
in a municipal government setting preferred. Must have ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions, good keyboarding skills, proficiency using Microsoft Office suite, and the ability to learn new software. Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Must have effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal with the public in a courteous and professional manner.
