The City of Maryland Heights is accepting applications for a Part-time Fitness Attendant. This position works in the Fitness Center at the Community Center and is responsible for supervising and orienting individuals who use the facility.
Fitness Center Attendant is a year-round position. The position works approximately 20-25 hours per week. The varied work schedule will include evenings, weekends and holidays. Individuals hired for this position must pass a drug test and a background check.
The position pays $10.40 per hour.
Provides orientation to participants in the correct usage of fitness equipment; sanitizes equipment after each use to keep the fitness center safe and clean; assists in cleaning and organizing all equipment areas.
1. HS diploma or equivalent
2. Knowledge of proper techniques of weight training
3. Ability to bend, stoop, squat, reach, lift and carry up to 50 pounds
4. Must be able to work harmoniously with co-workers and patrons
5. Must follow all safety rules
