Utility Tax Rebates for Senior and Disabled Residents

The City of Maryland Heights refunds municipal utility taxes to our senior residents and residents with a disability. To qualify, seniors must be at least 62 years old on or before November 1 of the year in which they are applying for the rebate and must be retired. For residents with a disability, your annual income must be less than $10,000 excluding Social Security, Disability Income or other payments received as a result of the disability. Qualifying residents should bring all their utility bills (water, gas, and electric) and one phone bill (landline or cellular) dated November 2021 through October 2022.

If you have completed your rebate in the past, a family member or neighbor can bring in your rebate information. If this is your first time applying you must come in person and present a photo ID. We will be taking appointments this year.

Appointment times are approximate. Please do not arrive before your appointment time. For shorter wait times, please have all of your bills opened and in order by utility and month starting with November 2021.

Stop by the Community Center or call (314) 738-2599 to make your reservation. If you cannot make one of our scheduled appointment dates and times, please email Jennifer at jvandyke@marylandheights.com and she will schedule a time with you later in the year.
