MHPD's Beards for Babies Challenge
No Shave November is right around the corner, and several of our clean-shaven officers are looking forward to the second annual Beards for Babies challenge!
During the month of November, Chief Carson will temporarily suspend the policy of restricting facial hair for active officers in exchange for a $50 donation to the Saint Louis Crisis Nursery. By donating, MHPD officers are allowed to enter a beard growing contest - and also challenges other area police departments to do the same!
The Saint Louis Crisis Nursery is a charitable organization that provides a short-term safe haven for over 5,000 children a year whose families face caused by illness, homelessness, domestic violence or other parental stress. Their headquarters are located in Maryland Heights.
