Introducing the Disability Commission!

The City of Maryland Heights Council is set to approve the formation of the Disability Commission at the Council Meeting on Dec. 1st at 7:00 p.m.

The focus of the commission will be to serve as an advisory team to City Council. Members will make recommendations for programmatic and legislative matters related to the quality of life, overall well-being, and inclusivity of residents and visitors living with disabilities.

Members must be living with a disability, the caregiver of someone living with a disability, and/or a representative of a business whose primary mission is the care and services of people living with disabilities. The term length for commission members is 3 years.

We encourage any and every member of the disability community within Maryland Heights to apply! This commission is a fantastic opportunity to make your voices heard, bring new issues to light, and to help make Maryland Heights a more inclusive space for all.

Applications for the commission can be found at marylandheightscom.rja.revize.com/forms/1331. You can also email interest to criebling@marylandheights.com or ahays@marylandheights.com. Paper applications are also available at the Government Center.
