Don't Miss These Aquaport Programs

KC- Retouched-2Aquaport season has officially begun! That means summer is here in Maryland Heights and we are ready to dive into fun at our favorite local waterpark.

"Our team is excited to welcome guests back for another season at Aquaport," said Aquatics Supervisor, Caitlin Morrison. "We are happy to keep providing some favorite traditions, as well as some new events for families this summer."

Aquaport first opened in 1998 and has since become a regional attraction and favorite local hotspot to stay cool during hot St. Louis summers. In 2021, major renovations were completed to the facility, which included the addition of The FlowRider, a surfing simulator. Most recently, a shade canopy was added to the concessions stand area for cooling and a more comfortable wait.

This summer, patrons can enjoy the return of several favorite programs. Little Splashers is a private morning swim time, where guests, ages 6 months to 5 years, and their guardian can get exclusive use of the kid's area before it opens to the public. It's the perfect chance to give our littlest swimmers a calmer water park experience and to socialize with other children their age. This program only occurs on Fridays from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. during the season and costs $7 for non-resident kids. Parents, Season Pass holders and residents enter for free. All guests must leave the park at 11:00 a.m. and re-enter during their respective times, at their respective admission rates. Little Splashers will be available June 7 through August 16

aquaport programsAnother program making its return in 2024 is River Walking. Those ages 14 and older are invited to drop-in for a relaxing stroll against the current of the Lazy River. This low intensity workout will burn calories and patrons go at their own pace. No instructor is provided. River Walking is available 6:15 - 7:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday from June 3 to August 15. Drop-ins cost $6 for residents and $7 for non-residents. Season Pass holders are free.

And if swimming under the stars sounds like a fun outing for you and your family, we've got plenty of chances to do just that. Back again in 2024 is our Luau Party. This Hawaiian-themed after hours swim party is family-friendly and includes games, giveaways, and more. The concession stand will remain open for those who want to snack. This event will take place on Friday, August 9 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. General admission costs $7, while Season Pass holders get in for free. There will be no preregistration for this event; day-of ticket sales only.

New in 2024, Aquaport has added two Family Swim Nights. On Friday, June 14 and Friday, July 12 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. families can enjoy an after-hours swim at Aquaport. General admission is $7 and Season Pass holders are free.

To close out the season, on Friday, September 6, we are inviting the dogs back to Aquaport for the Dog Days of Summer event. Dogs will need to be 6 months or older, well-mannered, have current vaccination records for both rabies and distemper, and recently bathed. This event is fun to spectate and has been a favorite for years! Attendance costs $15 for members and residents. Non-residents pay $20. Additional dogs are $10. Those interested in registering must show proof of vaccination records at the Maryland Heights Community Center.

Whether its swimming after-hours at a luau or getting fit walking against the currents, there's something in store for everyone this year at Aquaport!
