Railroad Crossing Construction Update

MILLWELL DRIVE - Now partially reopened, but will have just one lane open to traffic for the next couple of weeks. The railroad's contractor completed their work allowing city crews to repair the concrete street adjoining the crossing. Our staff have temporarily patched the west side the street with asphalt, so the southbound lane is now open. Since the new crossing is 7 inches higher than the old, our crews will need to remove more concrete to transition to the new elevation. While doing this, city crews will also remove and replace some broken slabs in the area.

Millwell Drive will operate as a one lane street with signage while the additional pavement is removed and replaced. At this time, it is estimated the street will be one lane for 2 weeks to complete all of the pavement replacement. Please be kind to your fellow motorists.

DELORD AVENUE - Construction has begun today and detour signs are in place. Construction for this crossing is expected to be completed by the end of the week.

DORSETT ROAD - *TENTATIVE CLOSURE April 8 - 12* Expected detour will be Schuetz to Adie. We will be updating once we get closer to this date and have a better idea of construction timeline from the contractors. As with many road projects, several entities are involved and we will do our best to keep you updated. Weather can extend the completion projection date. Thank you for your continued patience.
