Description : The City of Maryland Heights is accepting applications for Concession Workers in its Aquatics Center for the upcoming season. Concession Workers will work a varied schedule that will include evenings, weekends and holidays. No experience needed - we will train you! 

Individuals hired for this position must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check. 

The starting pay for this position is $13.75 per hour. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Concession workers will rotate between the front gate and concession stand.
• To admit only persons who have paid a daily admission fee or possess a season pass (photo ID).
• To take in daily admissions fees and accurately record those fees in the computer software.
• Assist in sales of season passes, input of information into the photo ID membership system, taking pictures and verifying residency for all season passes.
• Cook and prepare food items in the concession stand.
• Serve as a team leader and follow safety protocols.
• Limit the amount of food waste.
• Excellent computer, math and customer service skills are required.
• A professional appearance, courteous telephone manner, and ability to think quickly and work in a fast paced environment with a variety of duties depending on the time of day.

• Must be at least 17 years of age by start of the summer season.
• Must be available to work for the entire operating season from opening day (Saturday of Memorial Day weekend) through the last day of operation (Labor Day). 
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must provide proof of Hepatitis A vaccination.
• Must be able to work harmoniously with coworkers and patrons.
• Must observe all safety rules.
• Must be able to operate register, accept cash and make change with minimal errors.
• Must be available for pre-season site specific training to include: cash handling procedures, computerized register training, season pass sales, daily admission sales, concession sales, river walking sales, Groupon, customer service and problem solving techniques, facility safety and emergency action plan, scheduling, and site specific policies and procedures.
