Description : The City of Maryland Heights is accepting applications for the Pool Manager in its Aquatics Center. The Pool Manager will work a varied schedule that will include evenings, weekends and holidays.
Individuals hired for this position must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check. As a safety sensitive position, Pool Managers are subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
This position also requires individuals to be vaccinated for Hepatitis-A due to the oversight of concessions.
Starting pay for this position is $16.60 an hour.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
To be responsible for the operation of the aquatic facility and the supervision of its employees in conjunction or absence of upper management. He/she is responsible for the health, safety and enjoyment of all pool patrons, regardless of ability.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- General knowledge of pool maintenance, chemicals and policies.
- Ability to act quickly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Ability to prepare reports and maintain accurate records of daily operations.
- Computer operation, with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programs.
- Must be able to pass American Red Cross Lifeguard Training classes.
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs. objects.
- Maintain a professional and mature attitude toward responsibilities, fellow staff and patrons.
- Work effectively with supervisors, co-workers and the public.
- Must be flexible to work mornings, evenings and weekends.
- Proper uniform required at all times.
