The City of Maryland Heights Department of Parks and Recreation is getting ready for summer fun - and we want you to be a part of our team! We have a wide range of roles available for anyone looking to get outside, soak in the sun, and stay active while earning extra cash this summer.

Lifeguards (apply here)
  • Lifeguards are responsible for providing a safe environment for our guests at the City's aquatic facilities, including both Aquaport and the Indoor Aquatic Center 
  • No experience needed - we'll train you!
  • Guards watch the water, maintain City safety protocol (including CPR/AED, first aid, and other emergency action procedures), teach swimming lessons, and more! 
  • Scheduling is varied and extremely flexible - we'll meet your needs!
  • Ages 15+ encouraged to apply!
Aquaport Concession/Front Gate Staff (apply here)
  • Staff are responsible for a variety of tasks related to guest services, including guest check-in and sales, food preparation and service, and more
  • No experience needed - we'll train you!
  • Staff will rotate between the concession stand and front gate as needed, and must be available for the entire operating season of Aquaport (from 5/27/23 - 9/4/2023)
  • Scheduling is varied and extremely flexible - we'll meet your needs!
  • Ages 15+ encouraged to apply (you must be 16 or older in order to work concessions, but can work front gate beginning at age 15)
Aquaport Slide Attendants (apply here)
  • Staff are responsible for a providing a safe environment for visitors to Aquaport by maintaining proper usage of our slides
  • No experience needed - we'll train you!
  • Attendants will manage guest usage of slides, maintain City safety protocol (including CPR/AED, first aid, and other emergency action procedures), assist with maintenance of pool facilities, and more! 
  • Scheduling is varied and extremely flexible - we'll meet your needs!
  • Ages 16+ encouraged to apply!
Camp Counselors (apply here)
  • Counselors are responsible for helping create a fun, safe, positive experience for Summer Camp attendees
  • No experience needed - we'll train you!
  • Counselors will plan, organize, and oversee activities, crafts, games, and more for campers of all ages
  • Counselors will work 30-40 hours a week, Monday-Friday. Counselors must be available to work the length of the camp season (June through mid-August) and preseason training.
  • We are also seeking counselors for preschool-aged Summer Camp groups

Camp Inclusion Assistants (apply here)
  • Camp Inclusion Assistants are responsible for ensuring the inclusion of campers at all levels of ability in our Summer Camp programs, and adapting programs to the needs of our campers as necessary
  • No experience needed - we'll train you!
  • Camp Inclusion Assistants will work with other Camp staff to adapt programming and activities to the needs of participants assigned
  • Counselors will work 30-40 hours a week, Monday-Friday. Inclusion Assistants must be available to work the length of the camp season (June through mid-August) and preseason training.

Parks Maintenance Aide (apply here)
  • Parks Maintenance Aides are responsible for assisting full-time Parks Maintenance staff in maintaining and upkeeping the City's Parks
  • No experience needed - we'll train you!
  • Staff will perform a variety of tasks, including manual labor, cleaning, park maintenance, and more
  • Aides must be available to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and more. We'll do our best to meet your needs! 
  • Ages 17+ encouraged to apply!
Preschool Leaders (apply here)
  • Preschool Leaders work with preschool-aged children in a fun, dynamic environment to help implement preschool planning
  • No experience needed - we'll train you!
  • Staff will organize, plan, and implement programming and lessons for preschool programs, and and help create positive, creative play and experiences for children enrolled in our programs
  • Preschool leaders work a maximum of 29 hours from Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. a week. The preschool is open from August - May, with hours available in the summer for preschool aged camps. We offer flexible hours, and will do our best to meet your needs!

Head Lifeguards (apply here)
  • Lifeguards are responsible for providing a safe environment for our guests at the City's aquatic facilities, including both Aquaport and the Indoor Aquatic Center 
  • Head Lifeguards assist in supervision of staff and support management of City aquatics facilities. They also watch the water, maintain City safety protocol (including CPR/AED, first aid, and other emergency action procedures), teach swimming lessons, and more! 
  • Scheduling is varied and extremely flexible - we'll meet your needs!
  • Ages 16+ with appropriate experience encouraged to apply!
Aquaport Pool Manager (apply here)
  • The Aquaport Pool Manager is responsible for the operation of the Aquaport facility and management of staff
  • The Aquaport Pool Manager will assist in supervision of staff and support management of City aquatics facilities. They will also assist in the maintenance of facility records, manage guest relations, uphold City safety protocol (including CPR/AED, first aid, and other emergency action procedures), teach lifeguard classes, and more!
